SUPPORT OUR ROTARY FOUNDATIONS FOR A YEAR OF ACTION AND IMPACT!

As Rotarians, we are leaders connecting for extraordinary good –both in our community and around the world.  Together we are eradicating polio and malaria, bringing fresh water to rural villages worldwide to stop the spread of disease, and helping our neighbors in need with housing, healthy foods, and educational opportunities.

Once a year we ask you to fulfill your membership obligations and take action by making two gifts that will impact the world.  One is to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF).  The other is to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).  Thank you for taking action now to help our club have a powerful and positive impact on our world.

An Update from King County Executive Dow Constantine

April 10 at Noon
The Grand Hyatt, 721 Pine St.

With 2.2 million residents in 39 cities and unincorporated areas, King County is the nation’s 13th-largest county.  It also has one of the most diverse populations in the United States.  And it’s growing and changing every day, impacting our professional and personal lives in many ways.

King County Executive Dow Constantine, will discuss how the county is embracing, and often leading, that growth and change at the forefront.  He will talk about his priorities in King County and some of the good work being done in the realms of human and physical infrastructures.

Dow is known for his outspoken advocacy for environmental protection, public transit, and government reform.  As Executive, he is working to make King County the best-run government in the nation.

NEW! Guests, visiting Rotarians, and members who are not on the meal plan can now purchase their lunch in advance. Online sales end the Friday before each luncheon.

If you miss the cutoff, guests can still register by contacting Mariah at mariah@seattlerotary.org.

Members are still welcome to purchase their lunch at the door.

If you plan to bring a prospective member as a guest, please contact Caroline at caroline@seattlerotary.org.

Making a World Class Community: A Discussion with Phyllis Campbell

Phyllis Campbell, Chairwoman of all Northwest business of JP Morgan Chase, past president and CEO of The Seattle Foundation and heavily recruited board member (her board work has included both for-profit boards such as Alaska Airlines and Nordstrom and non-profit boards like PATH) addressed Seattle 4 on a subject she knows well - our community's journey to being a world-class city. Phyllis spoke of Seattle's vigorous civil spirit and can-do attitude she first noticed 30 years ago when she moved here from Spokane.  She felt this city would allow her to make a difference and, indeed, she has in her professional banking career and her work in the community.

Meet Pierce Murphy

Life is full of many chapters. Each one helps to define us and shape us. No one can read ahead so we must complete each chapter before we can move on.

Our newest Rotarian has completed many chapters.
