Through research, innovation, healthcare and education, the University of Washington serves the people and communities of our state in countless – and sometimes surprising – ways. Now, as we face serious and urgent societal challenges, the UW is focused on how this engine of opportunity and discovery can drive solutions that accelerate progress for the public good. By leveraging our university’s unique strengths and assets in collaboration with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, the UW is advancing a healthier, more sustainable and more equitable Washington and world.
She will be accompanied by our Vice President for External Affairs, Randy Hodgins.
Last night, club members met at the The Rainier Club to hear from three finalists for our club's Seattle Rotary Service Foundation $100,000 Community Impact Grant. Thanks to everyone that attended and participated in this dynamic event!
The Boys & Girls Club is looking for reading mentors for three of their local area clubs. They are looking for volunteers that can read with one child twice a week for an hour. They would LOVE Rotarians to sign up for this program as it is effective in bringing K-4th grade students to reading at grade level in 10 weeks! To volunteer, CLICK HERE.
