General Curtis "Mike"
Scaparrotti

In 2019, General Curtis “Mike” Scaparrotti completed a distinguished 41-year career in the US Army as the Commander, US European Command, and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, NATO. As the NATO Commander, General Scaparrotti worked to preserve the security and stability of the Alliance and strengthen it in the face of traditional and new-age adversaries.    He is a keen practitioner of strength and diplomacy on the world stage.  You won't want to miss this presentation as he shares his observations about leadership and Service Above Self.

As Father Steve Sundborg retires from Seattle University we want to once again express our thanks for all you have done to positively impact our club, and - more importantly - your decades of service to the Seattle University community, our region, and the nation.  Our entire membership is so grateful for your wonderful examples of Service above Self over the course of your career.

Thank you, President Jeff Borek and the 2020-21 Leadership Team.

It has been quite a year and members took time to thank the leadership team for the great job they have done as we met entirely on Zoom.  The chat was full of accolades for this wonderful team.  We will not soon forget this pandemic year.

The gavel has been passed to the 2021-22 president and his team.  Onward...

Newsletter Reports are Back!

If you have a knack for writing a 300-word article for the weekly newsletter once or twice every 12 weeks, please listen up.  The membership engagement committee discussed whether to resume written meeting reports, and members overwhelmingly stated how the written reports have been missed!!  The committee’s work is valued tremendously as a quick read while viewing meetings on the YouTube channel takes more time.

All meetings will be streamed on ZOOM with two meetings per month in person and on ZOOM.  Reporters who take notes during an in-person meeting will be seated at the President’s table and recognized along with other contributors at the close of each meeting.  There are several meetings between now and November 10 where a reporter is needed.  To learn more about being a reporter respond to Newsletter Chair Pete DeLaunay (pete@delaunay.com).
