Reviving Ancient Wheat, Rural Jobs, and Healthy Food with Montana Rotarian Bob Quinn

Bob Quinn is a scientist, farmer, innovator, and Rotarian. He's the author of Grain by Grain - A Quest to Revive Ancient Wheat, Rural Jobs, and Healthy Food, which tells of his life and mission, detailing all that food is costing us and our nation after we leave the grocery store and how we can heal our farms, our small communities, our planet and the health of our people.

Seattle 4 Rotary - Standing With Our Neighbors Through Food Banks

“If not you, who?  If not now, when?”

--President Kim to Rotarians to support our neighbors and food banks.

Special Request: Can you supply a Cargo Van for 1-2 months for the food bank at St. Mary’s?

Due to the big increase in food demand, the food bank at St Mary’s needs a cargo van to use for one to two months so its current van can be repaired. Do you have one – or any ideas?  Contact Joyce Robertson at jmrseattle@hotmail.com.

LAST CALL!

You can still participate with Rotarians in support of our food banks.  Send in your gift this weekend, by Sunday night, May 31, and your gift will have a 100% MATCH thanks to the generous Rotary matching fund.

WHAT TO DO:

QUALIFYING GIFTS:
  • 100% match is made for one gift per person to your local neighborhood food bank (see list of examples below).
  • For this matching fund, gifts to large food organizations, like Harvest Against Hunger are not matched – but are welcomed without the match.
  • Limit of one gift per member can be matched.
  • Gifts must be made by 5/31.

LOCAL FOOD BANKS:
Check out the article in the link below that was featured in The New York Times to learn more about the need and the impact your gifts can make in our community.
