Meet new member, Chris Harrison, who is proposed by Rob LoBosco and Cindy Runger.  Chris is responsible for business development at Aldridge – Seattle. They are an IT outsourcing and services firm headquartered in Houston. Their clients tend to be mid-market firms with 25-250 computer users for whom they provide a complete turnkey service. Previously he was Senior Channel Manager for StorageCraft.

Chris grew up in Montana in the Bitterroot Valley near Missoula. His claim to fame at Stevensville High School was a 3-0 win over their arch rival Salmon River, as he kicked the 38 yard only field goal of the season.  Then he left his hay harvesting skills behind and took a job at a cannery in Friday Harbor before planning to go on to technical school in Arizona. That did not happen as he stayed in Washington and attended Highline Community College. He has done some globetrotting travel. How many of us have been to Patagonia? How many have completed the Torres del Paine 93 mile hike?

Chris lives in Newcastle without family locally. He has been active with First Tee, and as an elementary basketball coach. His father, who is retired from the Forest Service, got him involved working on the four-day annual cleanup of the Pacific Crest Trail.

When I asked why he joined Seattle Rotary, he said he felt the need to give back to the community. Chris is particularly interested in helping to educate youth on climate change and feels that our Woodland Park Zoo has that as a focus. So Alejandro Grajal, you may have an interested volunteer!
