I’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Bosch, classification Athletics & Sporting Events, proposed by Nancy Osborne and Mark Wright.

Jonathan was born in the Netherlands, where he spent his growing-up years in school and playing basketball.  He discovered he was quite good at basketball, and with the hope of one day playing professional ball in the U.S., he moved from the Netherlands to Oregon, where he was offered a scholarship in international business to attend Linfield College in McMinnville.  Reality soon set in. While Jonathan was a very competitive basketball player in the Netherlands, he soon realized he faced much stronger competition on the court in the U.S., and turned his attention to completing his undergraduate degree in international business.

In the ensuing few years since, Jonathan has successfully combined his love of sports and his business education into a career in sports and entertainment. Following graduation, he spent four years with the Utah Jazz professional basketball team before moving to senior associate general manager with Fox Sports in Los Angeles.  Although he enjoyed living in LA, the Pacific Northwest was the place Jonathan wanted to call home. When he was offered a position with the Seattle Seahawks just a few months ago, he jumped at the opportunity.  In his current role, Jonathan is responsible for identifying and cultivating high value/solution-based corporate relationships – primarily with blue chip companies and big brands – to generate additional revenue for the Seattle Seahawks.

Along the way, Jonathan met and married his wife of three years, U.S. native Kirsten Bosch.  Jonathan and Kirsten live in Bellevue with their Dalmatian, Dill-eh.  In addition to spending time with Kirsten and Dill-eh, Jonathan enjoys hiking, traveling, listening to classical music, and spending time with his family.

With his focus on furthering his career, Jonathan hasn’t had much time for community service – a situation he would now like to remedy through his membership in Seattle Rotary. He is looking forward to becoming a part of the Seattle community through our club and hopes to build new personal and business relationships while participating in the service opportunities Rotary has to offer.  In short, Jonathan would be delighted to meet each one of you, and you will enjoy meeting him – I know I did!  Please join me in welcoming Jonathan Bosch to the Rotary Club of Seattle.
