Honorable Ryozo Kato, Japanese Ambassador to the United States from 2001-2008.  

Ryozo Kato is a Japanese lawyer and career diplomat who served as the Japanese Ambassador to the United Sates from 2001 to 2008. (Longest serving Japanese Ambassador since WWII). He also served as the Commissioner of Nippon Professional Baseball from 2008-2013; in 2008 he served as a Corporate Advisor at Mitsubishi Corporation and has been a member of the Board since 2009. A graduate of Tokyo University Faculty of Law and Yale Law School, he served his country in Australia, Egypt, and the United States, in addition to multiple global assignments within the Ministry in Tokyo.
