Why Seattle 4?

Of thousands of Rotary clubs in the world today, Seattle was number four, and we’ve been growing ever since. It’s a legacy that our business and community leaders take seriously, gathering weekly to manifest the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship, and service. As one of the world’s largest Rotary clubs, we can and do make big things happen in our local and global communities.

Over the decades, Rotary Club of Seattle has provided a forum for prominent people from business, civic, and academia in the United States and around the world. They have found the club to be an excellent venue to present their views on topical issues and encourage support for their programs and causes.

A big thank you to our Seattle 4 members who helped pack 6,000 pounds of pasta at the monthly District 5030 Rotary First Harvest (RFH) work party:  Alan Bergen, Sten Crissey, Larry Granat, Cathy Gibson, Einer Handeland (with wife, Marilyn, granddaughter, Mara, and guest, Kathryn Bergman), David Siebert (with wife, Carol), and Lorna Tumwebaze.

Each year, Rotary First Harvest awards the Rotary Club in District 5030 with the most volunteer hours at the monthly RFH food packs a much coveted “Golden Doughnut” award.  Last year, Bellevue Breakfast won the doughnut and Seattle 4 came in second place.

Join us August 13th from 8:30 - 11:00 am at the Northwest Harvest Warehouse in Kent. RSVP to Lisa Mayfield at lisa@agingwisdom.com.
