WELCOME TO Seattle 4 ROTARY WHERE WE CONNECT FOR GOOD

Of the thousands of Rotary clubs in the world today, Seattle was the fourth club established in 1909. It’s a legacy that our business and community leaders take seriously, gathering weekly to manifest the Rotarian ideals of fellowship and Service Above Self. As one of the world’s largest and most inclusive Rotary clubs, we can and do make big things happen in our local and global communities.

Over the decades, the Rotary Club of Seattle has provided a forum for prominent people from business, civic, and academia in the United States and around the world.  The best way to learn more about our club and the work we do is to experience this first hand. If you would like to attend a lunch meeting and learn more about Seattle 4, please contact Club Manager, Caroline Bobanick at caroline@seattlerotary.org.  We meet every Wednesday at noon and welcome you to join us!

The Wide Spectrum of Mental Health

Mental health affects us all in one way or another.  But the stigma surrounding it can force sufferers into the shadows and prevent us from helping those who desperately need us.  It’s not just the homeless and the addicted.  It could be any one of us.  Wouldn’t you want to help if you could?

Next week, Mark Wright will moderate a discussion with Katrina Egner, an executive at Sound (formerly Sound Mental Health) and Katherine Switz, founder of The Stability Network.  Katrina will share her experience treating the better-known parts of the spectrum: chronic sufferers, the homeless, the addicted, both below and well above the poverty level. Katherine will share her personal experience at the lesser-known end of the spectrum: the highly-successful among us who suffer in silence, hiding their desperate need for help until it's too late.

Come help us broaden our understanding of mental health so that fewer people may suffer in the future.
